Friendly staff. Nothing really fancy, good portions and clean. After site seeing it was an easy walk for our hotel.
Correction! Apologies... I confused Cordial Cafe with another. This was actually great! We enjoyed the food here very much. And the seating for us was one of our favorites. We could have stayed and relaxed much longer. But it got busy, others wanted to enjoy the same comfortable setting. We will have to remember Cordial Cafe for our next trip to visit if we're so blessed!
I had an hour walk home at 9 PM and I was really hungry. Most places in Paris where it's crowded people are only drinking and not eating food. I walked by this place and two people were having pizza and it looked delicious. I ordered the pizza and I had them remove the mozzarella and add goat cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. I don't think anything in Paris can't be delicious. The wine was also very good. The crepes I shouldn't have had but the gentleman was so nice and kind that I couldn't say no. It was a very convenient location on my way home, and open late.
Just as in the name of this Cordial Cafe... it was warm, friendly & quaint for a quick bite to eat. We enjoyed a Margherita Pizza, a delicious bowl of French onion soup and fries. The staff was friendly and I would come back for another bowl of soup! I would highly recommend stopping in to CORDIAL CAFE for a quick bite to eat!
My food and wine experience at this café was memorably very good. The café scene was from vintage post-war pictures....quintessential French café. The service is casually elegant and efficient. Our server was polite and spoke English. He also indulged me when I attempted to speak his fragrant sounding French language (horrendously sounding & mangled coming from me) The server laid out a couple of baskets of delicious French bread. I chose the croquet salmon. It was outstanding!! Toasted bread topped with baked salmon and melted Gruyere French cheese. We enjoyed each and every part of the lunch experience . Will return and linger at Cordial on my next Parisian visit.
Visit dates: March 16. 2015, March 17, 2015, & March 21, 2015 This cafe was one of my favorite cafes in Paris. The food wasn't the best I tasted in Paris, but the staff was friendly, the prices were reasonable and the food and coffee was on par with the reasonable pricing and definitely not terrible. Hubby and I had breakfast here 3 times. The first time I ate a crepe with nutella which was awesome. The second and third time I had le petit dejeuner and hubby had the english breakfast. Both of these options are on the front page of the menu and for 9 euros you get the petit dejuener (which is one croissant, two pieces of a baguette, butter, jelly, coffee and orange juice). The English breakfast is $10 euros and you get eggs, orange juice, coffee, ham and pieces of a baguette plus orange juice). Both these options are great breakfast options if you're on a budget for your trip. The outdoor seating is enclosed in heated glass which has windows that can open up when the weather is nicer. This is great if you want to sit outside in a cafe but it's cold. If I ever get to visit Paris again I'm coming here for more breakfast!
